There was a magical place I remembered from my life before kids. I visited this little Oregon surf town a handful of times. For my 40th birthday, I decided to rent a beach side house in this tiny little town and invite some of my favorite people.
We laughed, we ate, we watched the sunsets and flew kites in the beach breeze. We even watched whales from the hot tub on the deck overlooking the beach and the ocean. It was the first time my kids had ever been to this little town and I wanted them to love it as much as I did. We hiked up the giant sand dune and drove on the beach in the neighboring cove.
It was the perfect way to ring in another decade, and a great place for inspiration for new watercolor paintings. Stay tuned for some Pacific City themed cards and prints!
